Introducing KimTech’s enhanced hire request form for communication devices and assistive technology trials
We know how important it is to make equipment hire as simple and quick as possible, especially when you’re organising assistive technology or communication device trials for your clients. That’s why we’ve improved our hire request form to save you time and make the whole process smoother.
Whether you’re trialling Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) apps on an iPad with an NDIS participant or trialling a Go Talk Lite Touch communication device, we think you’ll love how easy it is to use.
Here’s a quick look at what’s new!
Key summary
- Shorter, simpler form with fewer fields to fill out.
- Questions only appear if they’re relevant (e.g., iPad case options show up only if you’re hiring an iPad).
- A progress bar shows how far along you are.
- You’ll get a confirmation email with a summary of your request.
- Everything’s designed to make requesting equipment faster and easier.
Why we made these changes
We’ve heard your feedback: the old form was a bit too long, so we redesigned it with one goal in mind—making it quicker and easier to request AAC devices, iPads, and other assistive technology. With these updates, you’ll spend less time on paperwork and more time focusing on what matters.
What’s new?
A faster, easier form
The form is shorter and more streamlined, so you can breeze through it. We’ve cut down the number of questions to the essentials—no more answering unnecessary fields.
Conditional questions (only what you need)
If you’re not hiring an iPad, you won’t have to think about iPad accessories. If you are, you’ll see the option to choose a case type, iPad keyguard, preferred voice etc. The form adapts to your request, keeping things simple and relevant. See below the different fields when requesting AAC apps with an iPad vs other equipment items.
Progress bar for clear navigation
No more wondering how much longer the form will take! A progress bar lets you see how far along you are.
Instant confirmation email
After submitting your request, you’ll get a confirmation email with a summary of everything. It’s an easy way to double-check your request and keep a record for your files. Here is a sample below.
How this helps you
Less time on forms, more time for what matters
We know your time is valuable. These updates mean you’ll spend less of it filling out forms and more focusing on supporting your clients' needs.
A smoother process for AAC devices, iPads, and trials
Whether you’re borrowing an iPad for an NDIS participant or trialling a communication device for a TAC client, this streamlined process is designed to make it faster and easier to get what you need. Requesting equipment hires for communication device trials, or requesting a custom keyguard—it’s all simpler now.
We’d love your feedback
Have thoughts about the new form? We’d love to hear what you think! Your feedback helps us keep improving, so feel free to share any comments or suggestions.
Wrapping up
We’re excited about these updates, and we hope they’ll save you time and make equipment hire requests much more straightforward. Give the new form a try and let us know how it works for you!
