How much does it cost to hire an equipment item?
The monthly hire cost is listed on each product page. In addition to the monthly hire fee, there is a $55 (incl. GST) return packaging and delivery fee. Some equipment items may also incur setup fees, such as iPads with installed apps.

Where do you provide service to?
We can provide communication devices and equipment for hire, as well as custom keyguards, to anywhere in Australia.

Do you sell keyguards for iPads?
Yes we do! We design and create custom keyguards for iPad apps such as TD Snap, LAMP, Grid for iPad, Proloquo2go, TouchChat, SimPODD, Voco Chat, Proloquo and more. Each keyguard is custom designed for each individual iPad case. You can find further details on the keyguards page on our website.

Hire Length
Our hires are usually between 1 to 3 months, although you can extend your hire if it’s going well or arrange a longer hire if that is what you need.
The hire commencement date is from the day that you receive the equipment. You will receive an email reminder a few days before the hire end date and then you can request a hire extension or we will contact you to arrange return of the equipment.

Is there a warranty on the hired equipment?
All our hired equipment is covered under our maintenance and repair policy. If any issues arise during the hire period, we will take care of repairs or replacements.

How do I know if the equipment is available?
Most items are available immediately unless indicated on the product page in the equipment catalogue. We will advise of any wait times when providing a quote.

What happens if the equipment is lost, damaged or stolen?
If any hired equipment is lost, damaged, or stolen, please notify KimTech as soon as possible. We ask that reasonable care is taken while the equipment is in your possession. You will not be responsible for the replacement costs of lost, damaged, or stolen items. KimTech will arrange replacement of the equipment at no cost to you.

Are there any additional costs I should be aware of?
In addition to the monthly hire fee, there is a $55 (incl. GST) return packaging and delivery fee. Some equipment items may also incur setup fees, such as iPads with installed apps. A one-hour therapy fee will be charged for the setup of these items which includes app installation, account setup and device configuration.

What happens if I decide that I need a different item to hire?
If the equipment doesn't meet your needs, please contact us and we can arrange to swap the item for a different one. Additional postage costs may apply.

How do I return the equipment?
We provide an AusPost satchel with a pre-paid return label for you to send the item back to us. Simply drop it off at any post office or post box. Please keep the original packaging to use for the return.
If you prefer, we can also arrange for a courier to pick up the item from you.
