iPads with AAC apps

NDIS funding can be used for trial of Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) apps. Participants can trial AAC apps using their Consumables (Core) or Assistive Technology (AT) funding. When you request to trial AAC apps with KimTech, you can choose between standard or mini-sized iPads. Each iPad is customised with the requested assistive technology apps, tailored to the unique communication and access needs of the participant. AAC or access apps are requested by a speech pathologist or occupational therapist coordinating the hire, ensuring that the device fully supports the individual’s goals. Custom keyguards are also available to trial with AAC apps. Some of the most commonly requested apps include:
